Hello! My name is Nerman. I am a Kaldrma Guesthouse owner in the lovely city of Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the place I have considered home for 50+ years now. I have spent the second half of my life in Canada with my family and children, and with that I can speak English and Bosnian fluently and with confidence.
With the Kaldrma Guesthouse being my only property, I take enormous pride in how I manage and care for it. I strive to provide the most memorable experiences possible and I love to teach others about the hidden gem nestled away in the Balkans known as Bosnia-Herzegovina!
If you stay at the Kaldrma Guesthouse, I will make your experience one to remember. I have extensive knowledge of the city and its history, not only from an academic perspective, but also from a personal perspective as I still consider Mostar my home to this very day. Whether it is related through sports, music, culture, politics, I am sure that I can provide an extensive insight into any questions and inquiries you may have about the city and its rich yet fragmented culture and history.
Providing a modern, yet cozy-style of rooms, the Kaldrma Guesthouse allows you to enjoy the modernity of life in the 21st century after fully engulfing yourself into the over 500 years of history surrounding the very walls you are staying in.
宿泊施設の情報
Located in a historically and culturally protected (on exterior appearance) building, the Kaldrma Guesthouse boasts all the modern aspects of the 21st century while being surrounded by history dating back well over 500 years. Everything from keycard access, flat screen televisions, air conditioning for each room, modern-style lighting and decor allows you to recharge your personal batteries during your time in Mostar in a way that feels very familiar to home. We don't call ourselves "your home away from home" for marketing, we truly believe in making your stay feel like you are going on a daytrip and never left home.
Along with 24/7 surveillance of the surroundings, the Kaldrma Guesthouse is located between other buildings which allows it to have a much more private entrance through a "sokak" (short street/alley) along with a very private courtyard that allows you to get some sunlight while also having peace and quiet from the foot-traffic on the busy streets nearby.
On top of everything mentioned, Nerman (the owner) speaks fluent English and can provide you with in depth answers relating to various inquiries during their stay (places to eat, attractions, history lessons, etc). By providing you with a contemporary modern experience while being nestled in such a historically important part of Bosnia-Herzegovina, you can focus on seeing the countless places and things that this country has to offer
周辺エリアの情報
The Kaldrma Guesthouse is located nearby countless museums, restaurants, as well as numerous historical, cultural, and religious landmarks as well:
The Stari Most (literally "old bridge") is the "crown jewel" of Mostar, and where Mostar gets its name from, located only 200m away
The Kriva Cuprija (literally "crooked bridge") is the "trial run" prior to the Stari Most being built and just 150m away from the Stari Most itself
The Kujundziluk (Old Bazaar) is a marketplace located just 150m away from the Kaldrma Guesthouse
The Museum of War and Genocide Victims is located (quite literally) around the corner of the building, showcasing the brutality of the civil war that left Mostar crippled during the Yugoslav Wars of the 90s.
The list goes on much further than this, and nearly all attractions and restaurants are reachable on foot or by car. Plus, the ones listed above are located within the immediate vicinity! Other places to see include "Sniper Tower", the Blagaj Tekke, Zipline Fortica, and the Kravice Waterfalls, just to name a few.
