Wake up surrounded by greenery in a spacious semi-detached home, where big windows fill the rooms with light all day. The house feels calm and private, with no direct views into the bedrooms or bathrooms, yet you’re only a short tram ride from Ghent’s historic city center.
Inside, you’ll find:
• Three uniquely styled bedrooms, each with premium mattresses and fresh linen
• Two full bathrooms (one with bathtub, both with double sinks) plus four separate WCs
• An open-plan living and dining area with a 75” TV, Dolby surround sound, and a big sofa perfect for movie nights
• A fully equipped kitchen with oven, air fryer, mixer, cocktail maker, and a dedicated coffee & tea bar
• A downstairs game room with ping pong and darts
Step outside to enjoy a sunny garden and terrace with fire pit and BBQ, or head to the balcony for a quiet drink. The home also offers lightning-fast fiber Wi-Fi (1 Gbps), making it ideal for streaming, gaming, or working remotely.
The neighborhood is peaceful and family-friendly, tucked away on a dead-end street with free parking for up to three cars. A tram stop just 350 m away gets you to the city center in about 15 minutes, and the train station is close by for easy day trips. Bakeries, shops, and even what I’d call the best fries in Ghent are all within walking distance.
As your nearby host, I’m always happy to share local tips or help make your stay as smooth as possible.
Hi, I’m Sam! Born and raised in Ghent. After staying in more than 50 Airbnbs myself, I decided to start hosting too. I’m a bit detail-obsessed — in the best way — so I enjoy making sure everything is clean, organized, and comfortable for you. Hosting lets me combine my love for travel, people, and creating a welcoming space. When I’m not hosting, I’m usually out for a run, traveling, or spending time with friends and my girlfriend.
ur neighborhood is a peaceful, family-friendly corner of Ghent — quiet, safe, and welcoming. Tucked at the very end of a dead-end street, you’ll hardly see more than a few cars an hour. Neighbors are friendly but discreet, giving you the space to fully relax.
Within a short stroll, you’ll find everything you need: a bakery for fresh croissants in the morning, a pharmacy, a convenience store, and a great little pizza shop. And if you’re a fan of Belgian fries, there’s a nearby spot that many (including me!) consider the best in Ghent.
A lovely local park, often overlooked by tourists, is just around the corner — perfect for a peaceful walk, a jog, or simply unwinding in nature. For bigger events, Flanders Expo is also close by, making the location ideal if you’re attending a concert, fair, or exhibition.
Getting around couldn’t be easier. A tram stop only 350 meters away takes you straight into Ghent’s historic city center in about 15 minutes. From there, you can explore the city’s highlights:
• The medieval Gravensteen Castle
• The bustling Graslei and Korenlei along the river
• St. Bavo’s Cathedral with the world-famous Ghent Altarpiece
• The lively Patershol district with its cobbled streets and cozy restaurants
Ghent’s train station is also nearby, opening the door to easy day trips across Belgium — think Bruges, Antwerp, or even Brussels in under an hour. Cycling is another great way to explore, as Ghent is one of the most bike-friendly cities in Europe, with plenty of rental options.
All in all, you’ll be based in a calm residential area with greenery and quiet, yet only minutes away from the vibrant energy of Ghent’s historic heart.
