The place has an almost panoramic view of the whole city, including Vitosha mountain and iconic landmarks, and has in fact been used many times by professional photographers wanting to capture the best of Sofia. It is within walking distance of all the main sights, close to a Sofia Tourist Information office, and has easy access to various means of public transport, including the Metro line to/from the airport. The apartment is newly renovated in a funky, colorful eclectic style with a touch of late 20th century retro. It has a vast, all-encompassing terrace which makes for perfect outdoor sitting in good weather (outdoor furniture is available will be duly provided). Situated on the top floor of the building, it is the only flat on the floor, i.e. there are no next-door neighbors. It provides excellent opportunities and facilities for work and/or relaxation. It is also an excellent place for inviting friends over, although large, noisy parties are not encouraged.

You will have the whole place to yourself, although I will do my best to welcome you personally, and both I and my co-host will be close at hand to answer any questions you may have. We love traveling ourselves and staying in people's homes, so we know very well what it is all about. We love meeting new people, but we also know how important it is to feel independent when in a new setting and to be left to explore on your own, so you need not worry on that account. Finally, I do believe it is a great place to stay at for the reasons listed above, and I would very much like to share it with you.

The apartment is situated in an upscale neighborhood which, though in the very heart of Sofia, is laid-back and leafy, and in immediate proximity to three of the most beautiful parks in the city. It is also close to numerous landmarks, including the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Houses of Parliament, the Vasil Levksy Monument, Eagles' Bridge, and the oldest higher education institution in Bulgaria, Sofia University. Nearby are many of the city's museums and art galleries - the Archaeological Museum, the History Museum, the Natural History Museum, and both the old and the new National Galleries. Besides cultural entertainment, the neighborhood is host to some of Sofia's best international-cuisine restaurants, coffee bars, and night clubs. There are also three supermarkets within walking distance, as well as small, special-interest shops, and two 24/7 shops for snacks, drinks, and tobacco products just minutes away. Parking in the street is difficult as, providing you find a space, you can park there for a limited time according to municipality regulations (except for non-working hours and public holidays). However, a two-minute walk away is the Hyatt Hotel, which offers 24/7 parking service at 5 BGN per hour or 40 BGN for 24 hours. Other paid car parks are also available a little further off. If you ask me, it's much more convenient to explore the central neighborhoods of Sofia using the highly efficient public transport system or simply walking. Central Sofia is quite safe, and this neighborhood is among the safest. It is well-lit and you can take a walk in any of the nearby parks well into the small hours, if you wish to do so.
