Belle Epoque Hostel was built in 1916, along with three other houses with similar characteristics, in the Etchevers pedestrian passage. These residences were designed with the intention of serving as accommodation for the distinguished guests of the Vergara family, a family that played a fundamental role as founders of the city. The Vergaras resided in the majestic Vergara Palace, located in the renowned Quinta Vergara, the emblematic site where the Viña del Mar Festival takes place annually. This festival, considered the largest and most important music festival in Latin America, as well as the longest-running and highlighted in spanish language arround the world, gives a special shine to the history and tradition of the region.
