After 30 years in the tourist capitol of the world; Las Vegas, Nevada, I could no longer resit the urge to start a new adventure in Costa Rica.
A retail entrepreneur and archaeologist of properties, I found in Tico Tico Villas the challenge and opportunity I had been searching for, nigh on four years. Not only to fill a niche in the market, but to allow me to have "happy monkey hour" at 4-5:00 p.m. every day, instead of a city filled with stress, smog and traffic.
I am enraptured by the warmth of the Costa Rican people and culture and after 20 years of visits I am so thrilled to finally be able to call this slice of nature my home.
If we can do anything to make your stay more pleasant, we will do out best. Just don't ask us to keep the Macaws from squawking so early in the morning... to that we will just smile and say, "Pura Vida."

We are not next to the beach and flocks of tourists, yet with bus stops in front; Tico Tico Villas is but minutes away from it all. The Marina Pez Vela is a short walk down the hill for dining and sunsets on the water front, as is the village of Quepos, but please know our roads are not for the feint of heart. If you are coming to Costa Rica, expect an adventure, not sidewalks and a Disneyland tour.
This is real nature and wild life at it's best and since buses run every half hour most of the day and cost a whopping 305 colones (60cents) and the taxis are abundant; people from 19 - 90 can easily navigate this sub-tropical jungle paradise.
We have eight or so restaurants with in a 5 minute walk. From La Luna at Gaia overlooking the vast pacific in 4 star luxury, to places with more typical food and flavors of Costa Rica. Quepos is where you go for the cheaper, delicious local fare that is served at the Sodas. And if you ask nicely we will share a favorite that has been here since 1934 and is still run by the same family.
On the main and only road in or out of Manuel Antonio National Park, our location is not for everyone, but it might be perfect for you.
