Hi, we are Katia and Peter, originally from the Netherlands. We moved to Costa Rica to live close to nature and build a more sustainable life. We handcrafted Villa Bruno with love, using local wood and solar power to create a cozy jungle retreat.
We live next door and are happy to help with anything during your stay—from tips on birdwatching and beaches to organizing a local tour or just having a good chat.
We speak English, Dutch, Spanish, German and Russian—and we love sharing this beautiful part of the Osa Peninsula with travelers who appreciate peace, wildlife, and a bit of adventure.
We look forward to welcoming you!
Villa Bruno sits in the lush hills of the Osa Peninsula—peaceful, remote, yet just 15 minutes from Puerto Jiménez. Step outside and you’re in prime birdwatching territory, with toucans, coatis, and monkeys often seen from the terrace. Nearby trails, dairy farm, horseback riding tour, and a unique cacao tour offer a true taste of rural Costa Rica. Nature, culture, and tranquility come together here.
