Hotel Villas Tangerine

The humble hosts from Idaho (USA) came to Costa Rica with a plan to do something wonderful for their family and their future. With their second baby on the way, and the global pandemic, they felt inspired to take actions and pursue their dream.

Villas Tangerine, a hidden oasis, surrounded by farmland and jungle and only minutes away from three beautiful beaches. Off the beaten path but just a few minutes from downtown and close to everything Samara has to offer. The hotel, a four room, one king suite apartment, shared pool and Casa Tangerine, a two bedroom villa with private pool, is surrounded by a labyrinth of tropical lush gardens and a soothing aqua pool. The property hosts various fruit trees, mango, papaya, coconut, banana, plantain, starfruit, lime, and wild chili peppers, the garden also attracts various species of butterflies and birds. Catch it all from the terraza, pool, hammocks, pool loungers, or from our outdoor Rancho. Pair the view with a cup of Costa Rican coffee in the morning, or spend your evenings with a glass of wine or one of Costa Rica's native beers. Don't miss the howler monkeys pass in the mornings and evenings, they will likely make their presence known, AND the scarlet macaws that squawk and shine with vibrancy at Playa Carillo (a favorite nearby beach and only ten minutes from the hotel by car). On the sunny Pacific coast of Costa Rica, the town of Playa Samara has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Excellent swimming, kayaking, surfing, snorkeling and fishing abound in the warm waters. The town itself has everything you could ask for - shopping, restaurants, markets selling the abundant vegetables and fruit, stands selling fresh seafood, pharmacies, medical, banks and a supermarket. At one end of the town is a peaceful area of the beach called Cangrejal. This secluded spot is one of several beaches within walking distance of Villas Tangerine.
