The basement apartment has 4 large, south east facing windows which catch the morning and midday sun. The open planning gives a light and generous feel, with a fitted kitchen, big TV and bathroom.

Barbara works part time and I am self employed working from home, so there is generally someone at home in case of any questions or difficulties. We are both outgoing, friendly people and you are more than welcome to share our communal decking area. We can also help with advice about excursions in the area and things to do and see, and as a passionate cyclist I can show you some of the best routes in the region.

We are lucky enough to live in the Rhön biosphere reserve, which is one of the most beautiful regions in Germany. You can start a hike or bike ride straight from the house door which will take you through forests and up hills and mountains. In the winter months the Wasserkuppe has several downhill slopes, and the region also has kilometres of cross country skiing tracks. The city of Fulda is only 20 mins drive away, with its baroque charm and cultural opportunities.
