Bergweiler, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
The village is situated on a hill amidst woods and meadows, and overlooks the beginning of the Moselle Valley. Wittlich at 4 km, offers everything a small town needs; 7 supermarkets, banks, small specialty shops, the Bungert, - a shopping mall for fashion and a large specialty supermarket. From here there are many possibilities for excursions. The Moselle valley is ideal for cycling around the Moselle and discovering the many wine villages. Famous are of course the many wine festivals that every village on the Moselle organizes. In the winter months the Christmas markets are worth a visit. Trier, Germany's oldest city, with its historical and Roman monuments, can be reached in half an hour. Luxembourg and Koblenz, an hour's drive away, are also well worth a visit.
The new Mittelmoselhochbrucke is also worth a visit.
Wittlich has a train station with connections to Trier, Luxembourg and Koblenz. Wittlich is located at an intersection of the A60 and the A1.
