The Schmickhof is characterised by its secluded location in Gaißach-Lexen. Gaißach, situated on the right bank of the Isar, borders Bad Tölz and Lenggries. Our small village has two railway stations of the ‘Bayerische Regionalbahn’. Trains from Munich stop here every hour. Public transport is within walking distance. Those who prefer alpine skiing can reach the ski circus at Lenggrieser Brauneck or the Gaißach ‘Reiserlift’ in just a few minutes by car. If it's inhospitable outside, suitable clothing or a trip to the ‘Isarwelle’ adventure pool, the Kristalltherme in Kochel, the Spielarena in Bad Wiessee or the Swarovski Crystal World in Wattens (Tyrol) will help.
