We have a rail connection from the Dutch port of Rotterdam to the Mediterranean - through the Rhine Valley. Leads to Railway noise. Railway noise is found to be less disturbing than road traffic noise at the same sound level.

Neighbourhood information

Five different circular hiking routes, for 4, 3 or 21/2 hours duration, offer stunningly panoramic views of the Rhine. THE UPPER MIDDLE RHINE VALLEY WITH ITS ROMANTIC CASTLES WAS INCLUDED ON THE UNESCO’S WORLD HERITAGE LIST. THE “LORELEI”, WITH ITS 132 METRE HIGH ROCK FACE, AND ST. GOAR WITH THE “RHEINFELS” – LARGEST OF THE RHINE CASTLES – ARE PART OF THIS.
