For almost 20 years now, statthaus has been a small but exclusive family-owned apartment hotel, with the owner and her assistant taking care of everything personally. The listed statthaus offers neo-gothic ambience in the quiet Steinfelder Gasse in the heart of Cologne - within walking distance of the main station and the cathedral. We take great care to keep our ecological footprint as small as the historic statthaus building plan: with us, everything runs on green, non-nuclear power. Our historic wooden staircase is a feast for the eyes equipped with state-of-the-art fire protection - without a lift. All units are individually furnished with antiques and functional modern equipment and feature an en suite bath/WC, cooking facilities, smart TV and intercom with personal bell button on request. It’s not just another hotel room – here you can reside in your own apartment like it’s home sweet home.

For groups of up to 22 people, we make the whole statthaus available exclusively. This way you can arrange all apartments individually and explore Cologne from your own personal home base. The statthaus apartments are turn-key and ideal for city explorers and self-catering travellers: they all come with a fully equipped kitchenette, en-suite shower/WC, intercom system and, if desired, even your own personalized doorbell.

Neighbourhood information

Prime location right in the city centre of Cologne: Steinfelder Gasse is a quiet residential street in a very well-ordered and peaceful neighbourhood right next to the "Gereonsdriesch", a well-tended little park. The underground stations "Friesenplatz", "Appellhofplatz" and "Christophstraße" are all within walking distance and there is a taxi stand at the park. The cathedral, the central station and many sights within the city centre can be reached within 10 minutes on foot. Parking is possible in front of the house most of the time (free of charge from 11pm - 9am and on Sundays). There are several public parking garages in the vicinity - please contact us for possible special conditions in the nearest parking garage. Many international restaurants, cafés, bars, supermarkets, post office, banks, bakeries, dry cleaners and other shopping facilities are close by.
