Rødvig Ferieby offers Bed & Breakfast in cozy surroundings in the sustainable “Skovhus” (Forest House).
The house has 7 double rooms, all with private bathrooms (one room is wheelchair accessible).
Guests have access to a large common living area, a lounge corner, and a shared kitchen fully equipped for cooking.
You book a private room for yourself, while the other facilities are shared with the house’s other guests.
We, Mette and Claus Høgenhaug, are the owners and hosts of Rødvig Ferieby. You’ll meet us at the reception and around the grounds, as we’re here almost around the clock. You might also run into our sons, who help out in the reception, mow the lawns, and lend a hand at our Wednesday barbecue evenings.
Our vision for the holiday village is that the atmosphere and the surrounding nature create a place of peace and breathing space for both children and adults. Parents can safely let their children play throughout the area – we’re surrounded only by open fields – and during the summer, everyone more or less gets to know one another because there are so few cottages.
Rødvig Ferieby is a place where people connect. Where children play together – across languages and ages – and where we gather in the evenings, either by the bonfire or in the tipi.
We look forward to welcoming you.
Rødvig Ferieby is perfectly located as a base for a wide range of exciting excursions.
Rødvig town is a charming seaside community with both a marina and a fishing harbor. There are good shopping options and several restaurants, and at the harbor you can buy freshly caught fish directly from the fishermen. Rødvig is also a popular spot for windsurfing and diving. In 2020, a tour boat was introduced in Rødvig – enjoy a scenic trip along Stevns Klint from the seaside.
Just 5 minutes from the holiday village lies the Cold War Museum Stevnsfort. The museum offers guided tours – a truly fascinating experience for the whole family. With about 1.6 km of tunnels and chambers located 18 meters underground, carved into the chalk layers of the cliff near Rødvig, Stevnsfort stands as a remarkable monument to the Cold War and Denmark’s strategic defense history.
Only 10 minutes away you’ll find Højerup Church and Stevns Klint, the dramatic 18 km-long cliff that rises up to 41 meters high. From the top, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Øresund strait.
You can also walk along the Trampesti trail, a roughly 22 km coastal path connecting the highlights of Stevns Klint from Rødvig in the south to Bøgeskoven in the north.
Also about 10 minutes away is Stevns Lighthouse (Stevns Fyr), located at the highest point of Stevns Klint.
