Yggdrasil Guest Lodge is part of a Spiritual Development Center dedicated to contemplative practices and actions.
We welcome all visitors whatever your walk in life. We are happy to share with you our simple life at the heart of the farming lands of Bornholm, in our renovated farm in the middle of the fields.
The guest lodge is the ideal place to take a break from the busyness of urban life and to rediscover the pleasure of deep relaxation in the beautiful landscapes of the island. Take some time out and treat yourself to a large portion of personal time to discover where life is calling you next and how to fulfill your deepest longings. All dreams are welcome, even the most daring or extravagant.
Our guest lodge is also a perfect stopover for hikers and bikers who are enjoying slow time and direct contact with nature. Our simple, yet comfortable accommodation, offers a good alternative from the lively life on the coast.
We moved to the island in 2017 to set up a community house and educational center for contemporary contemplative practices. We bought an old farmhouse and completely renovated it turning into a comprehensive retreat center with rooms for guests and an open workspace for residential workshops and long-term retreats.
Nicola is a cognitive psychologist who has been working in European projects in leadership and educational development. She is a writer of mystical teachings and designs learning journeys based on personal transformational work and implementing sustainable change in the world.
John is a social worker with a wide range of experiences working with people with learning disabilities.
We both see life as an ongoing learning journey and delight in meeting fellow explorers eager to share their life experiences and to engage in meaningful conversations around our purpose in life and how, together, we can serve making the world a better place for all.
We are close to Østerlars Round Church which is well worth an extensive visit.
We are also happy to provide you with some walking or biking tips - sharing some of our favorite places - to make your stay special.
