Moses Lodge is a bedouin style lodge located within the Fox Camp. and is located closest to the Saint Catherine's monastery.
The name 'Fox Camp' originates from the desert foxes that come by in the early mornings by the valley Wadi Safsaf. If you are lucky, you will be able to see one during your stay.
Inside the Fox Camp, there is a garden with various trees such as pomegranate, fig, almond, apricot, plum, apples, pears and olives as well as herbs. There is also a tent located in the shared outdoors area where you can rest while enjoying a cup of bedouin style tea by the campfire.
We also offer desert safari by camel or Jeep and guided high mountain trekking as it requires a permit. If you are interested in climbing Mountain Moses (Mount Sinai), we can arrange a path through Wadi Arbain, which is the way local bedouins use to climb the mountain. On the way, you will be able to see the Moses Stone.
We can arrange transportation for you to Cairo, Sharm El Sheik, Dahab, Nueva and Israeli boarder Taba.
My name is Farag Mahamoud, a local bedouin of the Jabalaiya tribe. I have been a guide for safaris and high mountain trekking for the past 30 years so I can provide you with all the information you need in Sinai. I am fluent in Arabic, Hebrew and English.
Fox Camp is located in the Saint Catherine Village, which is the last village before the Mountain Moses (Mount Sinai).
Saint Catherine's Monastery was built in the 4th century by Helena, mother of the roman Emperor Constantine, in front of the burning bush. It is known as the world's oldest continuously inhabited Christian monastery.
High mountain trekking is available under the permission of the local Bedoiun Sheik.
Around Sinai are also many beautiful oasis and many canyons in the Sinai Peninsula, namely White Canyon, Zig-zag Canyon, Arada Canyon and Rainbow Canyon. The canyons are accessible via a Jeep Safari.
