Los Cocoteros is a small residential area on the north coast of Lanzarote, within the municipality of Teguise. It’s a peaceful neighborhood with a local, family atmosphere — ideal for those who want to escape mass tourism and enjoy the calm of the Atlantic Ocean. The highlight of the area is its natural pool, La Charca, perfect for swimming on calm sea days. From the coastal promenade, you can enjoy unique sunrises and sunsets, as well as starry skies at night thanks to the low light pollution. The neighborhood doesn’t have major tourist services, which makes it an authentic and serene place. You’ll find Teleclub El Riadero, a local meeting spot where you can have a drink or a snack, while basic shopping and supermarkets are just a short drive away in Guatiza or Arrieta. Thanks to its location, Los Cocoteros is also an excellent starting point for hiking, running, cycling, and surfing, with easy access to the coast of Mala and the main spots in the north of the island. It’s the perfect environment for travelers seeking peace, nature, and authenticity, while still being well connected by road to the rest of Lanzarote.
