La Mareta was significantly improved in spring 2024! All visitor reviews have been incorporated into the measures. This is why the finca will in future only offer EXCLUSIVE accommodation for one family or group of friends. Enjoy privacy in perfection! Numerous enhancements and new acquisitions have been added. Lounge furniture by the pool, large outdoor tables, new sofas, better lighting, fast internet, TVs with 4K, etc... The 300-year-old farmhouse has been completely restored to its original state and therefore also bears the title "Casa Rural". Four small houses on two levels, surrounded by a courtyard wall and with large garden islands, form an idyllic and completely private place of well-being. Even among locals, La Mareta is considered as special. The large water reservoir that gives the house its name and the lush fruit orchard are adjacent. A paradisiacal place. Although there is a bus stop directly above the finca, we recommend using a hire car in any case.

Our man on site is Yone, he welcomes you and is happy to help you in all situations. He can be contacted by phone at any time and is on site within a short time. The owners Katja and Thomas: "We are a couple in our fifties and have created a living space for ourselves with this finca, which we also live in with friends and family in wintertime. In summer, we make our guest areas available for rent, which allows us to maintain and develop the property.

The valley of Agaete, in which the finca is nestled, is considered one of the most beautiful and greenest in Gran Canaria. The sea is within sight of the farm, about two kilometres away. Behind the house, hiking enthusiasts have direct access to the Barranco de Agaete, which leads uphill into the breathtakingly beautiful Tamadaba mountains and ends downhill in the cosy and authentic fishing village of Agaete. A little further on is the Puerto de las Nieves. From here you can cross directly to Tenerife. There are a number of nice restaurants here on the beach. (We recommend the "Ragu" and "Kais sweet Poke";) There is also a wonderful huge natural outdoor pool here.
