Declared a biosphere reserve, the Ebro delta is a great destination for enjoying nature and water sports, bird watching, cycling and enjoying an extraordinary gastronomy. But there is something else. Its great extension, together with the low intensity of population, makes the delta one of the quietest and loneliest corners of the Catalan coast. Sant Carles de la Ràpita is located next to the bay of the Alfacs, sheltered by the southern arm of the delta, Punta de la Banya. From the port, our guests can enjoy a cruise on the boats which runs through Alfaques Bahia and allows us to approach the mussel farms that abound in the area, as well as reach an area inaccessible by land from the interior of the delta. One of the highlights of the trip is the return to the port at sunset, when the sun hides behind the stony and metallic mountains of Montsià.
