The Gatehouse is part of the Palacio de Hualle, a 17th Century manor estate. It is a pretty and very confortable house, full of light and with views of the green fields with grazing horses. With a big living-dining room, a lovely outdoor eating area and two bedrooms , it is perfect for a family of four. In Hualle, a tiny rural hamlet, yet in walking distance to shops and restaurants. Only a fifteen minute drive to villages of Comillas and Santillana or to beaches of Oyambre and Gerra.

The house will be carefully prepared and ready for the arrival of the guests. The beds shall be made, with fresh linens and towels in place. Our housekeeper will show you into the house when you arrive, and will be available if anything comes up.

Cantabria is the green, coastal northern region of Spain. Some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe are in Cantabria, with green fields with grazing cattle above the wide, sandy beaches. The snow capped Picos de Europa mountain range are seen beyond the coast. Hualle is a hamlet of Treceño, a small rural village about 12 kms from the coast. Restaurants, bars and shops are within walking distance or a one minute drive. There is also a huge supermarket within a three minute drive. Incredible surfing at beaches of Oyambre and Gerra. The picturesque villages of Comillas and Santillana are fifteen minutes away. Santander International Airport is 40 kms away. Trains to and from Madrid and other cities of Spain in Torrelavega, 18 kms away, or Santander. Brittany Ferries has regular routes to Santander. Parking at door of house.
