When you visit the beach of Las Galletas, you are fully immersed in the customs and daily chores of the small fishing village that gives it its name. A mixture of black sand and pebbles, the beach is full of small boats that anchor in its waters and give it an idyllic image. Located about 15 kilometres from the tourist centres of Playa de los Cristianos, Las Galletas is a bathing area with a very local atmosphere, where you can see fishermen fishing near the jetty and buy fresh fish at the fish market. If water sports are your thing, the beach has a charming marina where you can practice all kinds of water sports. After a good swim, you can enjoy the wide variety of fish and seafood in the restaurants in the area. The beach is easy to reach by car from the southern motorway, via various detours such as the Guaza mountain detour or the one near the southern airport.
