El Campello is situated at the coast of Spain between Benidorm and Alicante. The district of El Campello has an international character, because the residents come from all parts of Europe. It’s special attraction, outside the miles of sandy beaches, is the beautiful mountainous hinterland. Of course there are many sports facilities in El Campello and immediate surroundings. In whatever way you come to El Campello, the accessibility is ideal and a tram station is always close. The tram runs along the coast from Alicante to Denia and stops at all known resorts. From El Altet airport in Alicante it is 30 minutes by car to El Campello and the motorway is 5 minutes from most locations. In the vicinity there are several attractions, amusement parks and zoos such as: Terra Mitica, Terra Natura, Aitana safari park and the caves of Busot. In Spain each village organizes one or more traditional festivals. It is an experience to see one of these. In Campello the festival of “Virgen del Carmen” is yearly held from 15 – 18 September and the traditional festival of “Moros y Christianos” from the 12 – 15 October. If you are visiting El Campello we recommend a trip to the archeological site of La Illeta dels Banyets and the famous Torre Vigía De La Illeta (tower), which is one of the most important historical sites in the Costa Blanca.
