Noro Plaza is located in a recently renovated street, in the historic center of the city and very close to shopping areas, markets and leisure and walking areas. Once the first expansion of the city, it occupies the northern part of the strait that separates the peninsula of A Coruña from the mainland and runs parallel to the promenade in front of Orzán Beach and the port. Here are the famous glass galleries in front of the harbor basin, the Plaza de María Pita with the town hall (1897, modernist style), the street of San Andrés where today is experiencing a growing phenomenon of indie rehabilitation, to the point of being called the "Soho coruñés", which is an important tourist and gastronomic area, with some of the best restaurants and tapas bars in the city and is a busy place of the social nightlife of A Coruña. In this area we can find the delegations of the main banks of Spain, the headquarters of important foundations, the beautiful building of the Banco Pastor/Santander (which was the tallest in Spain until the 1920s), the Obelisk (dedicated to Linares Rivas), the Gardens of Méndez Núñez, the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses.
