Suites Machado are located in the very heart the Santa Cruz neighborhood, in the old Jewish Quarter, nestled in the most historic and monumental part of Seville, just a few yards away from the Cathedral and the Royal Palace. A series of luxury suites are housed a 17th century palace.
This beautiful palace has a traditional and elegant interior patio with a marble fountain surrounded by plants. Both the walls of the patio and the main stairway—all of which are protected by the Heritage Authority—boast ancient Sevillian-style tiles and majestic windows to welcome its guests. Although modern elements have been incorporated, original materials and decorative elements have been restored and used, thus making it a specific and cozy area that respects both the palace’s heritage and the environment.
The roof-top solarium offers impressive views of the Cathedral’s emblematic bell tower—la Giralda—and the Baroque style dome of the Santa Cruz church. All of this adds to the charm of this lovely palace that houses the six exclusive rooms that conforms Suites Machado. The actual name recalls two illustrious poets from Seville, the Machado Brothers.
周辺エリアの情報
The Santa Cruz neighborhood where Suites Machado are located is in the very heart of historic and monumental Seville. This part of the city is known for its palaces, museums and Baroque churches full of Andalusian religious art. There are impressive nooks and crannies yet to be discovered in what was once part of the old Jewish Quarter surrounding the Royal Palace, which, by the way, is one of the oldest palaces in Europe that is still in use. Known as Real Alcazar, it is located next to the city’s spectacular cathedral just a few meters away from Suites Machado. Moreover, the neighborhood is home to a number of elegant tapa bars and venues that honor Flamenco dancing and singing, as is the case of Sala Fabiola. It is an exclusive location, yet many tourists are unaware of its presence, where the essence of more traditional Flamenco dancing is kept alive. That same street, where Suites Machado are located, boasts a number of cultural jewels, including the only section of the original wall around the city’s old Jewish Quarter.
