We’re a family of five who love everything the outdoors has to offer. We spend a lot of quality time together in both Ruka and the Pyhä-Luosto area, and this part of Ruka is especially close to our hearts. Here, nature and wilderness begin right in the backyard, yet all the amenities of the ski resort are still within walking distance. Whenever we’re in Ruka, we prefer to leave the car parked—you really don’t need one here. Everything from ski lifts to restaurants and shops is just a stroll away. And for husky safaris, reindeer rides, Santa tours and more, there are excellent connections to local providers. In addition to Aurora, we also offer Ruka View at the Slopes and Villa Saarua by the Slopes—all within 100 meters of each other. You're warmly welcome to book them together for a group of up to 22 people, perfect for families and friends traveling together. In nearby Pyhä, right at the heart of the ski resort and just 150 meters from the legendary Pyhä-Luosto National Park, we offer Lapland Lodge Pyhä Ski-In, Tunturimaja Ski-In, Aurora Lapland, and Arctic Lodges Lapland. And in Luosto, you’ll find our newest addition: Luosto Villa, a traditional kelo log chalet in a magical, peaceful setting. All of our cottages across Ruka and Pyhä are true ski-in, ski-out locations, thoughtfully decorated with warm, authentic Lapland interiors.

Welcome to Aurora – Lapland Villas, Your cozy getaway in Ruka Aurora offers stunning views toward the Ruka slopes and the surrounding nature—perfect for a relaxing and scenic escape. You won’t need a car here: ski lifts, restaurants, ski and bike rentals, Family and Mini Park, hiking and cross-country trails, and smaller stores are all just a short walk away. The cabin has no direct views from neighboring cottages, offering you peaceful seclusion. Enjoy breakfast or an après-ski hot chocolate on the spacious terrace, watch auroras in night (August-April) and in summer, you might spot hundreds of reindeer strolling right past your window. Inside, Aurora is super cozy, and also wonderfully romantic. It features a fireplace and a private sauna that’s free to use every evening after your adventures. There’s free Wi-Fi, and the fully equipped kitchen makes it ideal for independent travelers. The sleeping area is located upstairs, and the sofa downstairs easily converts into a king-size (160 cm) bed. Whether you're here to enjoy snowy adventures or quiet summer nights, Aurora is a place to unwind, feel at home, and take in the beauty of Ruka at your own pace. Good to know: For your comfort, towels and bed linen can be rented or you may bring your own. At check-out, you’re welcome to tidy up yourself, or simply choose our cleaning service for a relaxed departure (extra fee).
