Enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally-located and newly renovated place.
Wooden floors and 295 cm high ceilings. The building was built in 1920's and the flat has an functionalism/art deco feel. The kitchen and living room/bedroom have been decorated in Aug 2023; everything is fresh.
The large and combined bedroom/living room has two single beds which can be placed next to each other as a double bed when needed. Let us know beforehand which arrangement you prefer. The sofa bed sleeps two people.
This is not our residence, so no private items in the flat but nicely shelf and wardrobe space for you.
We'd also need to know if you need to check in after 21:00 since our key-pick up location will be closed and we'll arrange an alternative way to hand over the keys in the area. If we don't hear from you about your check in time, we'll leave the key by default at R-Kioski, Fredrikinkatu 12, 00120 Helsinki (100 meters from the flat) and send you a pick up code on the morring of your check in day.
I spend a lot of time out side of Finland, mainly for work, and I'd like to have other people visiting my favorite city, Helsinki, to have a chance to use my well presented and fully equipped flat in the very centre of the Finnish capital. I have been hosting on Air B n B portal since 2012 , but just actually discovered that Booking is available for private hosts as well.
When I stay at other people's places, I am very responsible and leave things as they were when I arrived. I'd appreciate if my guests would respect this same principle.
Me or a friend or family member is always reachable for guests. I try to arrange some one to come round if there's an issue that needs to be attended on site, although there never has been.
You'll be located in the heart of the design district of Helsinki, a lot of small clothes and second hand shops, home deco stores and restaurants are a couple of steps away.
You can enjoy your morning cuppa at home using one of the two coffee makers we have or alternatively step out to the street and go and get you coffee for example at Green Hippo Cafe at Fredrikintori Square around the corner. This is just one of our favourite hangout.
The trams no 1, 2 and 3 and busses no 20 and 30 run from a stop 50 meters away in Viiskulma. Metro in Kamppi is 800 m away. Parking is a metered street parking where chargeable time is 9-21 on weekdays and 9-18 on Saturdays. Sundays free. This is parking zone 1. Easiest way to pay is to downlaod a parking app such as Parkman, EasyPark or Moovy. The hourly rate varies slightly per app. You can also pay at a terminal on the street and the rate is 4 euro oer hour.
On the other hand, you don't even need public transport or car, you can walk everywhere. Erottaja, which is said the be the very cente of Helsinki is 650 meters away.
