I was born on over 200 years old farm. I used to run barefoot on lawn, jump giggling into the water, dip my toes sitting on pier, start skiing from our outside door, skate so that all the lake was my ice rink. I grew pumpkins, painted the storehouse, drove tractor and picked potatoes from fields. After spending some years away it was time to return. To return to the beauty of the Finnish countryside and traditional farm surroundings and to be part of the chain of generations on that farm. And to welcome also our guests to enjoy the peace, the place and surroundings on our spacious upscale cottage!

Isojärvi national park and Evo hiking area offer good tracks for walking in wilderness. Bigger cities (Tampere, Lahti, Jyväskylä and Hämeenlinna) and Himos skiing resort with its facilities and events are just a short drive away. Plenty of beautiful natural sites close by, eg. Pyhänpää close to Päijänne lake and Linnavuori historical site. Sports tracks, mountain bike track, museums, galleries and harbour offer things to see and do. Dip your feet in warm water, take the boat on lake and see swans nesting, close your eyes on deck chair, lie on snow blanket and stare the stars, light the fire in fireplace and continue reading a good book, heat the sauna and start to make pancakes on open fire...
