There are several restaurants in Äkäslompolo.
There are bistro-type restaurants in the village and among fine dining restaurants, I recommend a wonderful experience at Restaurant Elsa (requires a table reservation and is a taxi ride away).
There are many marked trails in nature here. I recommend getting a map and instructions from the Visitor Centre Kellokas and going on your own to marvel at nature. Do not deviate from the route so that you do not get lost. (The phone does not work everywhere.)
