Welcome to Starflower of Ylläs! (Starflower is Metsätähti finnish) The cottage is a fairly new one-storey building in Ylläsjärvi side, close to the Sport Resort Ski Center and Saga hotel. The cottage is located in a pine forest surrounded by the fells of Ylläs. This is a place that attracts people from all over the world. If you want to see the northern lights this is the right place! The popular National Park in Finland, Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park, is nearby providing outdoor activities in spectacular landscape. It provides outdoor activities such as skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking and hiking. If you want ski or hit the slopes, Ylläs is your choice as it’s the biggest downhill skiing center in Finland and offers an amazing cross-country skiing network of 330 km (205 miles) skiing tracks (partly situated within the National Park). 38 km (24 miles) of the skiing tracks are illuminated for your convenience. Cottage is 400m (450 yr.) away from snowmobile trails. Cottage is only about 600m (660 yr.) from the Gondol lift and you can ski back to cottage. Via roads cottage is in walking distance 1.5km (1640 yr.) from Sport Resort Ylläs services (ie. restaurants, shops, bars.
