Villa Velho is a warm and inviting semi-detached log cabin nestled in the heart of Äkäslompolo, surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of Ylläs. Located in a peaceful area between the ski slopes and the village center, the cabin offers the perfect balance of tranquility and accessibility. You can walk to the center of Äkäslompolo in about 25 minutes, and the SkiBus and TrainBus stop just 400 meters away provides easy access to the ski resorts and amenities of both Äkäslompolo and Ylläsjärvi. In winter, a beautifully lit cross-country ski trail begins just 100 meters from the front door; in summer, these same trails offer fantastic routes for hiking and mountain biking. Completed in 2024, Villa Velho combines the timeless charm of authentic Finnish log architecture with modern comfort and style. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms – one with two 80 cm beds and the other with two 90 cm beds. The upstairs lounge area features a comfortable 160 cm wide futon sofa that sleeps two, as well as a second toilet. Families with children are warmly welcomed.
