Although compact, the space is warm, inviting, and full of character. Right next door, there’s a delightful organic sourdough bakery, and just a few minutes up the road, a convenient minimarket stays open until 11 PM. The central bus station and the Norrøna ferry terminal (Smyril Line) are only a 4-minute walk away, making this the perfect base for relaxing, exploring, and enjoying all that Tórshavn has to offer.

Our guests rave about the location—right in the heart of Tórshavn, with everything just a short walk away. Start your morning by grabbing some fresh organic sourdough bread from the bakery next door. Then, wander through the town’s charming narrow streets and stop for a coffee at Paname Café, housed in the old bookstore. From there, take a relaxing walk through the park to the National Art Gallery, where you can explore a beautiful collection of Faroese art, both classic and contemporary. Don’t forget to browse their postcards and posters—they make wonderful and surprisingly affordable souvenirs. For lunch, we recommend Bitin or Umami, or a scenic walk to the Nordic House, where you can enjoy a delicious meal at their restaurant. In the afternoon, feel the ocean breeze by the old fortress before heading to the Old Town and when it’s time to treat yourself (which we think you should!), stop by Gómagott for handmade chocolates, mouthwatering cakes, and biscuits—the perfect sweet ending to your afternoon. Enjoy your dinner at one of its cozy, historic restaurants—Áarstova, Fútastova, or Barbara.
