Chalet Carter is an OVO Network property. A newly-renovated five-bedroom, three-bathroom chalet for 11 (max 10 adults) spread over four floors and 198m2 of floor space.
The OVO Network team’s opinion -
The decor is bright, colourful and contemporary, and the gorgeous second lounge / TV room is a particular favourite with our team.
The main lounge overlooks the huge side terrace and the views down the Thônes valley beyond. The second lounge / TV room means everyone can get their TV / gaming fix. Larger groups can spread out according to what they want to do - play or watch!
Bedrooms are super stylish, with plenty of storage, very comfy beds, reading lights and phone charging points next to the beds.
Sporty guests will appreciate the direct access to the ski storage from the parking, meaning wet sports kit can be offloaded downstairs as soon as they arrive back home. Outside, the panoramic views from the jacuzzi, on the south-facing terrace to the front of the chalet are peaceful and calm.
Chalet Carter welcomes dogs: the garden to the rear of the chalet is enclosed, and there is a gate to close off the jacuzzi deck. The owners are dog lovers themselves; in fact, the chalet is named after a family pet.
Free wifi, cleaning, towels & linen included.

Whether you are visiting the French Alps in the winter or summer, Chalet Carter in St Jean de Sixt is in a great location to make the most of the mountain activities. Halfway between the villages of La Clusaz and and Le Grand Bornand, there's great skiing in both directions.
Together with Manigod, these villages offer 220km of pristine pistes with a great snow record, and something for all abilities. There's also a great ski bus network, which links the three areas and is free with your Aravis ski pass, so you can ski somewhere new every day. There are also plenty of trails for Nordic skiers in St Jean de Sixt.
Non-skiers can go ice skating or swimming in La Clusaz, where the heated indoor and outdoor pools are open all year round, or try snowshoeing, sledging, dog-sledding and sleigh rides and the exciting ski-joering - skiing while being towed by a horse! After all that excitement why not enjoy some pampering at one of the many spas - you've earned it!
There's plenty to do here in the spring and summer too. St Jean de Sixt is one of only two places in the world where you can try Bun-J ride, a cross between a ramp descent and bungee jumping! Other more traditional pastimes are available too - marked footpaths crisscross the mountains, many starting right from your front door, or you can explore by mountain bike - take the lift to the top of the mountain then come back down at your own pace.
There are a number of mountain farms within a walk of the chalet, where you can see the local Reblochon cheese being made - you'll come away with a delicious treat for the walk back! Cool off at the swimming pool complexes in Le Grand Bornand, La Clusaz and Thônes, or if you're looking for something a little more challenging, there's a climbing school, via ferrata routes, tree-top adventure parks, canyoning, white-water rafting, horse-riding, karting and paragliding all nearby.
