Chalet Grand-Duc is a new boutique chalet whose location was carefully chosen to achieve a real sense of alpine space whilst remaining within easy reach of amenities.
The chalet is well-positioned to access the highest skiing, hiking & biking the Portes du Soleil has to offer, 8 minutes’ drive from the Ardent cable car (direct access to Avoriaz area) in Morzine's authentic sister village, Montriond. A shuttle bus runs along the quiet lane in front of the chalet in peak seasons with a stop nearby however, a car is recommended.
The chalet's aspect makes the most of its panoramic setting and south-west facing exposure, with stunning mountain views from every room. Built as a traditional timber frame chalet, only high-quality natural materials have been used to blend traditional alpine charm with contemporary design.
The chalet offers luxury accommodation with spacious living areas. Five bedrooms, accompanied by five dedicated bathrooms, sleep up to thirteen (ten adults), with extra child / baby beds possible on request.
The chalet is equipped with a host of premium facilities to make your stay relaxing, memorable and fun. After a day in the mountains, relax and enjoy the views from the hot-tub, enjoy a game of pétanque while children make the most of the play area / table tennis, or fire up the Big Green Egg barbecue.
The chalet is also equipped with a rapid electric vehicle (‘EV’) charging point, Sonos sound system, Starlink satellite internet and two projectors with big screens with English and French television services.
Premium bed & bath linen, toiletries, indoor slippers, mid-week housekeeping and a personal welcome are all included.
Additional services including catering / private chef, on-site massage, shopping & restaurant delivery, lift passes, ski hire / lessons / guiding, etc. can be arranged via local partners.
周辺エリアの情報
Chalet Grand-Duc is situated just a short stroll from both the beautiful Montriond lake in one direction and the authentic village of Montriond in the other.
The village of Montriond, on the eastern side of the Morzine valley, is a great holiday destination for guests who want a great choice of mountain sports and all the bars, shops and restaurants of a large resort, but who at the end of the day want to return to a quiet relaxing base in the heart of nature.
If you’re visiting in the winter, you’ll be close to the lifts in Morzine, but you’ll also have great access to the Ardent bubble, which will whisk you up to the Portes du Soleil resorts of Les Lindarets, Avoriaz, Châtel and Switzerland. A car is recommended here and there’s a good car park at Ardent, where you’ll find the queues shorter than in Morzine.
If you’re visiting in the summer, you’ll appreciate the walks around Lac Montriond, swimming and SUP/kayaking. There is more challenging hiking and cycling in the mountains.
Montriond has a few restaurants, both in the village itself and around the lake, as well as a small shop, a sports rental shop and a doctor’s surgery.
