Situated in the small village of Maslives a warm welcome awaits you at our home. The property, originally built in 1800 as part of a winery. It was recently refurbished in 2019 to offer the very best accommodation to our guests, which is ideally suited to couples who want a quiet break. With deluxe bed the ensuite bedroom is quiet, restful and overlooks the garden.
Breakfast is served on a private terrace weather permitting, or in the dining room, with additional heating of a wood burning stove, (seasonal requirement only and subject to weather conditions). There is a private furnished lounge available for guests, which has a central heating and a wood burning stove, French doors leading to the private garden, the lounge has DVD, flat screen TV and streaming facilities.
There are two garden areas which are well stocked with trees, shrubs and flowers, with several seating areas for your enjoyment.

We enjoy having guests stay with us, and sharing our wealth of knowledge of this area. By prior arrangement, and to make your stay even more enjoyable, we can arrange visits to the local castles, gardens, vineyards to taste the delicious wines, and recommend a range of local restaurants, serving locally sourced fresh food. Able to organise cycling trips for the more energetic, and a visit Chambord National Park, at dusk and watch the wild boar, deer and many other wild animals in their natural habitat. This beautiful area of France can’t be fully enjoyed in just a day, a minimum of 2 days to get a flavour of this area and all it has to offer.
Historic Chateau de Chambord and the beautiful park only 2.5 km from the property, ideal for cycling and walking, water sports such as kayaking, 2 open air swimming pools, horse riding, hot air balloons if you want activity. There are several local restaurants serving delicious regional food. This beautiful part of France, often called the garden of France, is also famous for its castles and gardens.
The Loire is the third largest producer of AOC wines, in part a UNESCO World Heritage Site, from the Atlantic to the Touraine region. The beautiful wines, fresh and balanced roundness in wine tasting. This area of France is rich in art, literature, where modernity blends with tradition. The nearest city is Blois, which is about 15 minute drive from the property, with a main line rail station to Paris which is about 1.5 hrs. away.
