The OVO Network team’s opinion - Chalet Pic & View is a charming, three-storey property for up to seven guests, including six adults. It has three bedrooms, two shower rooms and a wonderful outdoor sauna where you can relax with views of the mountains. The entire chalet is filled with natural light, thanks to large windows and glass doors. The views are perhaps best from the living room and wraparound balcony, which look out over the village and Alpine peaks. And for guests looking for a little more privacy, there’s a TV room on the garden level. The open-plan kitchen is compact but fully equipped, and there’s a cosy seating area around a wood-burning stove. The two double bedrooms on the first floor also enjoy panoramic views and share a shower room, while the garden-level bedroom is ideal for a family, with a double bed, a single bunk bed and a trundle bed. There is another shower room with a WC on this floor. There’s room for one car in the underground garage as well as a shared parking area. There is a long flight of steps between the garage and the chalet, which may make it difficult for guests with limited mobility. Free wifi, cleaning, towels & linen included.

Châtel is in the beautiful Abondance Valley, on the French-Swiss border, and just 1 hour 30 minutes from Geneva Airport. This friendly village is known for its traditional charm and architecture, while also offering a good range of shops, restaurants and modern facilities. Châtel holds the Famille Plus label for its children’s entertainment programme and family-friendly infrastructure. In winter, this Portes du Soleil resort is connected to Avoriaz, Torgon, and Morgins via several ski lifts, and its altitude ensures good snow coverage. The resort features a snowpark, a boardercross course and a beginner area, as well as slopes for intermediate and advanced skiers, and multiple ski touring routes around the village. During the rest of the year, cyclists can enjoy the surrounding mountain roads, while Châtel’s bike park offers 20 mountain biking trails. Hikers can explore approximately 400km of trails across 48 circuits. Lake Vonnes, just 1km from the village, is perfect for fishing and paddleboarding. Other activities include climbing, paragliding, via ferrata, tennis, rafting, kayaking, and the Fantasticable zip line which soars over the valley at 100km/h.
