Touristic commune of the Landes in the region New-Aquitaine, Leon is located 6 km from the ocean, 30 minutes from Bayonne and 50 min by car from Biarritz. On its lake, you can practice canoeing, paddle or fishing. The lake of Léon is an ideal setting for young children with its sandy beach. You will discover the nature reserve that extends to Moliets by sailing on the current of Huchet in boat guided by boatmen. The river of the Palue, which loves the lake of Leon, is also very appreciated for guided or not walks in canoe kayak with some small whirlpools, adrenaline fun guaranteed solo, couple, families or friends! In summer, the market with Landes products is held every day on the village square, 10 minutes walk from the villa. Leon is a lively city with year-round shops such as fishmongers, bakeries, butchers, wine cellar, a cinema and its cultural center!  Even today, Léon is appreciated for its preserved landscape, its many leisure activities, and for its respect of the traditions of the Landes, both from a sporting and gastronomic point of view. The nearest beach is only 6 kilometers and it is the beautiful authentic beach of "la Lette Blanche" in the town of Vielle Saint Girons, but you also have the beaches of Moliets, at a similar distance, large and beautiful beaches of fine sand and dune areas, typical of the Landes. The famous Vélodysée, the great bike path that crosses France from Nantes to Hendaye passes not far from here, 10 minutes and allows you to make beautiful walks through the pine forests, without difficulties.
