Chez LuLu is a peaceful and well-kept village house right in the heart of Olonzac – the capital of the Minervois wine region. Designed with comfort and charm in mind, it’s an ideal base for couples or solo travellers who want to enjoy the relaxed pace of village life, discover great local food and wine, and explore the wider region at their own pace.
Guests love the private roof terrace, where you can enjoy breakfast in the morning sun or unwind with a glass of wine in the evening. Inside, the décor blends classic French touches with thoughtful modern comforts – from the bright sitting room and wood-burning stove to the fully equipped kitchen and clean, welcoming bedroom.
Chez LuLu is laid out over three levels and feels light, airy and surprisingly spacious for a traditional village home. It’s been set up to be both practical and personal: we’ve included fast Wi-Fi, a hair dryer, beach towels, local guidebooks and everything you might need for a short or longer stay.
We live nearby and know the area inside out. Many of our guests return year after year – often becoming friends – and we’re always happy to offer recommendations, help with bookings, or introduce you to the village and local life. We can suggest where to taste wine, where to eat (Michelin-starred or market-stall fresh), and where to walk, swim or simply take it easy.
Whether you’re soaking up spring sunshine, cosying up by the stove in autumn, or using Chez LuLu as a base to explore the vineyards, canal paths and medieval towns of Occitanie, we hope you’ll feel right at home.
Hi and welcome!
I’m Lucy — the owner of Chez LuLu and your local contact while you’re here. I live just a few minutes away with my family and know Olonzac and the surrounding area well. If you need anything before or during your stay, I’m always happy to help.
Chez LuLu is a place I’ve put a lot of care into. It’s simple, relaxed and full of charm — with a few design touches and personal favourites thrown in. I wanted it to feel like the kind of place I’d like to stay in: clean, comfortable, easy to settle into, and just the right amount of stylish.
Olonzac is a proper working village — not a tourist trap — and that’s part of what I love about it. There’s always something going on: the Tuesday market, people catching up at the cafés, locals buying wine at the co‑op. You can walk to everything, and it’s a great base for exploring the area — from Carcassonne and Minerve to the Canal du Midi or Lac de Jouarres.
When I’m not running around with work or family, I love walking, running, photography, architecture, and (of course) food. If you need tips on where to eat, drink, walk or unwind — just ask!
I hope you’ll feel at home here and enjoy everything this corner of France has to offer.
À bientôt,
Lucy
