Visiting Clos Vieux Rochers offers its guest the opportunity to experience the day to day life of a fully working vineyard. As the seasons change so also can your experience.
Opening beginning April 2017. Newly renovated courtyard gites on a working vineyard in the Bordeaux wine region. These spacious gites are lovingly converted from the former vineyard farmhouse comprising of one cottage and three courtyard properties in this beautiful, scenic setting amongst the rolling countryside of the Gironde vineyards. Luxuriate in a roll top bath or spa wet room shower, views of the vineyards, walk in the properties own woodlands and vines, take time to paint or read - the perfect place to relax or enjoy the vineyards own products and wines.
Rob and Steve live and work at the property so are always at hand to answer questions about the wine making process and if you are fortunate, maybe even a guided tour of the vineyard and cellars.
They are happy for guests to explore the property with its adjoining valley and woodland enabling them to absorb the beauty of their surroundings.
Rob and Steve have been involved with hospitality, travel and tourism and retail all of their working careers, so they appreciate client needs and strive to give the highest levels of customer service and quality.
One of their latest challenges was being part of a team responsible for bringing a large hotel with no stars up to 4 star status and achieving two rosettes for one of its restaurants in the process.
Their individual and joint skills come to life when greeting guests and visitors to ensure that their expectations are not just met but surpassed in a comfortable, friendly and approachable ambiance.
Having lived and worked in other countries previously, they are accustomed to embracing different cultures and customs and are in their element when exploring new and exciting places to discover or sampling foods and drinks native to the region they are living. You will find their exuberance in passing on this information both valuable and interesting - particularly over a glass or two of their own produced wine.
