## The neighborhood The Pays de Fayence In the Var, nine hilltop villages, with a remarkable medieval heritage, follow one another in the heart of preserved landscapes. This is the Pays de Fayence. On a hillside, Fayence is famous for its international gliding center. Its winding alleys, its watchtower, a vestige of the old castle of the bishops of Fréjus, its fountains and wash houses, its bread oven and its vestiges of ramparts make all its charm. Enter the large 18th century baroque church dedicated to Saint John the Baptist and climb to the foot of the Clock Tower, where there is an orientation table, to have a very beautiful view of the roofs of the village and the surrounding mountains.
