This 4-person gîte (cottage) near Neret is situated in one of the outbuildings on the property and used to serve (+/- 1840) as a stable & grain storage. During the renovation in 2024 we tried to retain as many authentic details as possible. The entrance is on a shady private terrace. On the ground floor you will find the sitting area (with Google Chromecast TV to run your own apps), kitchenette & dining table, toilet and a 2-person bedroom with lovely box springs (90x210cm) and shower en suite. On the first floor a second bedroom (2 pers.) with private shower and toilet. The rooms are decorated with large paintings by Debbie Nijland. You have your own entrance via the meadow, where you can also park your car. You are here 'in the middle of nowhere', so your own transport is a must! At night you'll be amazed by the fantastic starry sky without light pollution. All of this less than 3 ½ hours below Paris (720km from Breda), exclusively for adults. Peace and quiet guaranteed!

Your gîte is situated on a hill with a magnificent panoramic view, 4 km from the village of Neret in the south of the Le Berry region. Here, far away from the urban noise and mass tourism, in the rural green land between the vast fields, the rolling landscape changes colour almost every week: red poppies, lemon yellow rapeseed, warm yellow sunflowers and the golden colour of corn. The silence here can be deafening! Néret is surrounded by forests, so it is not uncommon to spot a deer, wild boar, hare or fox. If you like walking, cycling (or doing nothing at all), then you are in the right place here. In the summer months there are many brocante markets and vide-greniers in the region. Shops, bakery and restaurants can be found in La Chatre 14 km away and Chateaumeillant (also a wine region with its own AOC) 9 km away. Upon arrival, an extensive folder with sights and activities in the region will be ready for you.
