Our gite, La Grange, is located at Les Teyssonnières in the Causses du Quercy Regional Park. Set in a private forest, it is a peaceful location, close to nature and with beautiful villages nearby. The property, with its oak woodland and meadows, is a haven for wildlife with numerous species of orchid, butterflies, birds and mammals.
Our accommodation occupies part of our old barn. Comprising an open plan sitting and dining area with full kitchen and separate bathroom. The bedroom and a separate seating area are located upstairs on a mezzanine accessed by an oak staircase.

Myself and my husband relocated to France from the UK in early 2019. We now provide holiday accommodation and wildlife photography and nature watching opportunities from our former farm Les Teyssonnières in the Lot.
We love the area, with its climate, natural beauty and attractions, whether visiting medieval villages or canoeing on the rivers, there is always something to do. While our property is secluded and private, it is just a couple of minutes drive (or 20 minutes walk) from the village of Concots. We have three great restaurants in the locality including Lou Bourdie (which was featured on Jamie Oliver's UK TV show about the area) and the award-winning L'Esprit du Causse.
Our local village, Concots, is just 2km away and has two excellent restaurants, a post office and a boulangerie. A local produce market takes place every Sunday morning in the square outside the church. The medieval city of Cahors is just a 30 minute drive to the west.
Within an hour of the gite by car you can reach a number of beautiful towns and villages which are fantastic locations for photography, shopping, food and sightseeing. Several of ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’ – the 100 most beautiful villages in France, including St Cirq Lapopie, Najac, Bruniquel, Conques, Puycelsi and Belcastel, are within a short drive (St Cirq Lapopie being only ten minutes away). Each village is unique, with many featuring stunning architecture, narrow cobbled streets, amazing views, riverside settings, castles, churches and fortifications.
The area is home to a huge diversity of plants, insects and butterflies, reptiles, mammals and birds. The locality is particularly known for its orchids. There are over twenty species to be found in the Causses and many can be discovered at Les Teyssonnières and on walks in the surrounding area.
