I'm a photographer originally from London and now based in the South of France. Most of the time you'll find me at an airport waiting to escape to some obscure country to document the people and landscapes. Food plays a very important role in my life, so when not flying through the air, I'm at home cooking a new recipe or testing out a new restaurant with friends. Abbi and Yoann the hosts of La Petite Ruche are always available if guests need them. La Petite Ruche is located in the heart of the Luberon Natural Park, classified UNESCO Global Geopark, close to the main tourist and cultural sites of the region. The breathtaking Luberon National Park consists of 2 massive plateaus reaching 1256ms at their highest point. 600 km2 of land punctuated by stunning perched medieval villages, limestone cliffs and canyons with a green and fertile valley in between supporting agricultural lands, fruit orchards, vineyards and gorgeous lavender fields. Some local highlights include the Saturday morning market in Apt – one of the largest and oldest markets in the area. There are antiques, art, and “brocante” shops at L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, rose gardens at Valsaintes and if you come at the right time of the year there are fields of poppies, sunflowers and the famous Provence lavender.
