During the winter, between 1st Oct-1st May, we can provide a table d'hote service. Please ask for details when booking. We bought the house in 2015 and completed all the renovations over the course of five years, bringing back to life an old auberge that had been empty and unloved for more than thirty years. We moved here permanently from the UK in 2020 and finally opened in June of the same year. We absolutely love living here in this delightful village and enjoy meeting new and returning guests, as does Victor our Spanish rescue dog. Built in 1750 but recently renovated, La Ruche bed and breakfast is overlooked by the impressive ruins of the 12th century castle and is a stone's throw from the Auvezerre river. Whether you are following the Richard the Lionheart touring route, exploring the apple growing region of the Limousin, looking for a peaceful break to enjoy the French flora and fauna or to experience one of Ségur's special events (such as the local producers market held every Monday evening in July and August), we can offer you a relaxing stay for one or more nights. All four of our traditional rooms come complete with modern en suites, USB points, free wifi and a complimentary continental breakfast served in our large dining room overlooked by the castle. We have a secure space for overnight storage of bicycles/motorbikes on request). We also have limited private parking, however, there is ample parking opposite and you need to display a free parking ticket available from us to avoid charges. We can cater for all dietary requirements (please let us know before visiting!) We are dog and cat friendly but we require notice if you are planning on bringing your pet to stay as a matter of courtesy.

‘La Ruche’ bed and breakfast is situated in Ségur-le-Château in the Correze department of South West France. Ségur-le-Château is one of the prized Beaux Villages de France and is just 30 minutes off the A20 motorway and 1 hour from Limoges Airport. There are four designated walking trails around the village and maps are available from us or the tourist office. While the village is quiet and picturesque in the winter, it comes alive in the summer with a variety of events for the whole family. We are fifteen minutes drive away from Pompadour which is home to the National Stud of France and hosts many equestrian events throughout the year.
