Welcome to this family run Bed & Breakfast, 'Le 31' in Amboise. Le 31 is a fine old French Bailiff's house right in the centre of Amboise and you can walk to of all 3 chateaux, the restaurants and lovely food market. 'Le 31', has been refurbished, keeping the character and old style , with family antiques and French decorum, with the added advantage of modern facilities ( USB plugs, modern bathrooms, air-con units in the rooms that get very sunny). Your host provides a continental breakfast with croissants, baguette and homemade breads along with jams, butter, juice, tea, coffee, fruit & yogurt. You may arrive a bit late and want to have a meal at, 'Le 31'....no problem. Your host also provides French Cuisine evening meals. Please ask for details.

Hello, I am Alison. I'm Franco-British and trilingual. After being brought up on a vineyard, then later, leaving my medical career, I re-trained as a chef and decided to go into hospitality. My wish is to provide you with a stay in a comfortable antique French home, a taste of France, a friendly service with a smile making your stay an experience that you will love and remember. After many years of working in a kitchen, I have been asked by guests to provide evening meals on arrival. Having a Restaurant & Alcohol licence is proving to be a well loved aspect of this B&B as guests like to sit outside on our patio 'al fresco' and enjoy a glass of local wine with nibbles followed by a lovely meal ! I am very excited about my life here, it's great fun and I am meeting the most wonderful people ! Are you one of them ????

Le 31 B&B is situated in the Golden Chateau Triangle; Chateau d'Amboise, Chateau Gaillard, Le Clos Luce (where Leonardo da Vinci lived), all just a stroll away, and a drive to Chateau de Chaumont, Chateau de Chenonceau, Chateau de Blois and many other interesting and fun things to do. Le 31 is in Rue Rabelais, part of the 'old Amboise' meaning that you can leave your car in on of the 5 free carparks and stroll to the castles, restaurants, river, shops and markets. When you open the front door you are in the old street a few minutes from everything. I love being so central. Amboise is a bubbling town with lots going on. If you want to be part of this cultural and gastronomic experience, this is the place for you ! If you prefer to be in a quiet, farming area, this isn't the place for you. People who love this place are usually foodies and people wanting to discover a real French experience with a host who can give information about the region, country and local events and History...Hope to see you soon.
