My wife & I moved to France from the UK in 2017. We wanted a place where it is peaceful, we love bird watching & other animals and wanted a place that is very rural but also close to amenities.
The company was started early in 2018 to have an income but also to help others to enjoy what is here and in the area. The company name is ‘Bad Birdwatcher’ which linked to the name I have on Facebook ‘Badbirdwatcher’ where I add my photos and videos of wildlife and information about it. Since the start we have been planning and building a wooden chalet which is now open for guests.
One of my hobbies is photography, mainly taking photos of wildlife and I love helping others to do the same, which I will do here for free if you ask for it.
We like walking and can show you local walks and some further away.

The wooden chalet is well away from a quiet road & sits in the grounds of a small house & I think has the best view of our wild meadow, surrounded by trees.
To get in you have to climb 4 steps to the top, then a step over the threshold into a spacious dining kitchen area where you will find an old dining table with 4 chairs, cupboards with pots & pans etc. There is room in the cupboards to put your tins & jars etc for your meals. In the kitchen there is an electric cook with rings & oven, a fridge with a tiny freezer, micro-wave, toaster & kettle. There is tea, coffee, sugar, etc.
At the far end of the room are 3 doors:
Left door goes to living area, with sofa, TV with satellite channels and a DVD player, there are a selection of DVD's
Middle door goes to the bedroom with king size bed, wardrobe & chest of draws
Right door is for the toilet & shower
You are free to walk on the land.
We leave parts of our land wild for the wildlife, you can walk down and take photos of the butterflies and insects.
We also have many birds and mammals and it is quite common to see deer or foxes and Buzzards out of the chalet.
