Château de l'Abbaye - Teritoria is located near La Rochelle and the Île de Ré. This mansion, formerly part of a Cistercian abbey, is set in a 2-hectare private park. It features a heated outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and sauna and you can borrow bikes on site for free. The air-conditioned guest rooms are decorated with 19th-century furniture. Each room includes air conditioning, free Wi-Fi access and a minibar. Those located in the 17th-century annex building feature a 2-person spa bath in the private bathroom and a private garden. Guests can enjoy a candle-lit dinner, upon reservation. A set menu, prepared with fresh, homemade food is served. The dining room and 2 lounges all feature a fireplace. A breakfast is served in either the dining room, on the terrace or in the guest's room. Leisure activities also are available on site such as a children's playground. The coast is 32 km away. Richelieu was an abbot in the Cistercian abbey.
