We love to welcome our guests into our old house, which is located in the old part of the village. Both rooms are on the 2nd floor.
Both rooms are cosy with everything to make our guests stay comfortable. We welcome our guests down to our terrace, once they have settled in, to enjoy a few glasses of the local rose and nibbles, so we can tell them how our old house works and give information and suggestions to local visits and further away.
We have a very friendly Golden Retriever loves meeting people, so if you are not comfortable with dogs, we are not for you!
During our village music festival we sometimes have a piece of art exhibited in our little forecourt. Our guests have access to our hall, with comfortable chairs, little sofa, small desk and lots of magazines and books can be found. Our old family piano, which has found its way into the big fire place - and our motto is 'if you can play the piano please do, if you can't please don't'.
As things are...we cannot offer our guests access to our hall nor the fridge in the summer kitchen!
Our guests have full use of our little garden and pool (9m x 4m). There is also an outside shower and outside toilet.
We are a Danish/English couple, who for years have travelled down to the south of France to enjoy yet another lovely holiday. However, each time we visited, the dream of owning a little B&B never went away, in fact the dream got stronger and stronger each time we visited, also as we loved and knew 'our' area well. We finally bought an apartment on a golf course, nearby some years ago, but still the B&B dream did not go away. In the autumn of 2013, after having looked at countless properties, we came across this lovely old house. The minute we stepped into the hall, we knew that this was it!
We can highly recommend living here in this beautiful part of France...there sooo much to do and see, and we never tire of the car taking us up and down those little Provencal roads...and often to some wonderful markets and lots more, always somewhere new to explore.
Yes, it's pretty special here...even the Cote d'Azur is only an hour away. We hope our guests will enjoy coming to stay with us in our old house... :)
Things are slitgtly different this summer too...
2021 will be the 41th year celebrating this wonderful music festival...which is normally a big 4-week international piano festival, but this summer will be a nearly 4-week festival, with various international musicians in all the concerts in Parc de Chateau de Florans, which is host to this wonderful music festival every summer! (Just Google our village and festival)!
The capacity at Parc de Florans is normally over 2.200 seats.
Chateau Fontenille, Lauris and Chateau La Coste, Le Puy-Sainte-Reparade are both only c20min away, and both well worth a visit.
Distances: Lourmarin(13min), Cucuron(15min), Bonnieux(30min), St Remy-de-Provence(40min), l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue(40min), Gordes(45min) and Aix-en-Provence(30min) & Avignon(45min)...Carrieres de Lumieres, Les Baux de Provence (50min) all well worth a visit along with the wonderful markets there.
