We have lived and worked in France for more than 15 years. The Mont Ventoux region is no stranger to us. Until now it was our favorite region to spend the holidays. We are avid nature lovers and love sports (cycling, jogging, walking). It was a logical step to settle here permanently when we got the chance to do so. That happened in early 2019. It was love at first sight when we found the 2 adjacent houses on the "pas du Voltigeur". Le 'Soleil du Ventoux' is an independent house with private garden and swimming pool. The 'Voltigeur du Ventoux' is the bottom floor of the house we live in. The living area is completely private (with its own entrance). The nearest village of Entrechaux can be reached on foot from our gite (half an hour) and offers everything you need in terms of amenities: 4 restaurants, a bistrot and a café, a post office, a bakery, a mini-market with butcher shop, catering service and fresh vegetables. Supermarkets (Aldi, Lidl, Super U and Intermarché) in Vaison la Romaine (8 km), in Malaucène there is a Super U and a pharmacy. Wide choice of restaurants and pizzerias in the surrounding villages. When you say Ventoux, you immediately think of cycling, mountain biking, hiking, running, trailrunning. A 10-minute walk takes you to the natural climbing wall of the gorges des 3Rivières. Horse and poney riding is possible in summer at the ranch of 3 Rivières. Large choice in wine estates and every day you can find a provençal market in one of the typical villages. If you prefer culture, dive into history with a visit to the Gallor Roman excavations at Vaison la Romaine. Or go to Orange with its beautiful amphitheater. Not to mention Avignon with its festival and rich history. For the kids: 'Parc Avonture Oxygene' in Vaison la Romaine, Wave Island and Parc Spirou in Avignon.
