Les Vignes de la Chapelle, The Originals Relais (Relais du Silence) provides eco-friendly accommodation on the edge of a nature reserve on the Ile de Ré. This hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, heated from mid-April to mid-September depending on weather conditions. Set in a garden, it offers a terrace, a bar and a paid private parking. The whole property is a non smoking property even outdoors.
Each suite is equipped with flat-screen TV, soundproofing, free WiFi internet access and a wooden terrace area. They also have a snack corner. Larger Ecolodges include a lounge area with sofa bed.
Bike rental is available for guests that wish to explore the island or they can relax in the Wellness centre where a range of massage and body treatments are available.
The property, which uses solar panels, heat pumps and recycles rain water, is accredited with the European Ecolabel.

「The hotel is in a beautiful, tranquil location. We went out of season but it would be a welcome haven when the island is busy at peak times. The staff were incredibly helpful, arranging bikes and a late checkout for us. Nothing was too much trouble.」
