Located in one of the most picturesque and historic regions of France, the adorable Moulin de L'Hoste is located just south of the charming town of Belvès (listed as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages of France"). It has been lovingly renovated and offers luxurious accommodation for up to 15 people. For larger groups, our fabulous "Petit Gite" offers more accommodation for an additional 4 people. Le Moulin is full of character with stunning exposed stone walls, romantic beamed ceilings, large comfy sofas, log burner and delightful bespoke dining, seating and play areas. Table tennis, billiards, table football and games are provided for entertainment. Everything you need for a wonderful and memorable vacation. Luxury and comfort are offered in our opulent rooms providing guests with a peaceful haven in which to relax. Brimming with charm and character, our four exquisite bedrooms are all en-suite and consist of a spacious master suite with annex (sleeps 5), two lovely family suites (sleeps 4 each) and a generous double suite (2 beds).

Our family relocated from Scotland to this beautiful area of France in 2020. We wanted a more relaxed, peaceful and healthy lifestyle where we could enjoy fresh air, lovely people and breath taking countryside on our doorstep. We have been warmly welcomed and made lifelong friends. Having let properties in Spain and Scotland for many years, we wanted to create a wonderful holiday experience here for guests. Giving them the opportunity to fully relax with their family and friends and feel at home whilst creating memories to last a lifetime. We fell in love with the mill as soon as we saw it. Such a beautiful and historic building, with babbling brooks on three sides. It's idyllic and restful. The grounds are very generous, so there's many areas to just sit and listen to trickling water, the birds, the insects and animals as they go about their daily business Inside the watermill, it's full of period features, exposed stone walls and ancient old beams. We have created beautiful Suites furnished to our high standards, offering well deserved comfort and luxury. We live in another property in the grounds with our 2 Golden Retrievers and Border Collie and are available whenever needed

Our perfect location in the wonderful Périgord Noir allows our guests to explore and enjoy this wonderful region with many famous attractions and activities being just a short drive away. Breath-taking sights are plentiful in this area; beautiful lush and verdant forests gently embrace the meandering Dordogne River alongside dramatic and stunningly beautiful cliffside villages like La Roque Gageac and Beynac-et-Cazenac, which attract visitors from all over the world, including Hollywood movie makers! Built on top of the cliff dominating the village, you’ll find the enchanting Château de Beynac with Château de Castelnaud opposite, Our area abounds with so many magnificent chateaux; pretty, picture perfect medieval bastide towns, including our own lovely Belvès as well as Monpazier, Domme, Beaumont -du-Périgord, Lalinde, Villefranche-du-Périgord. Most of these charming bastides are also accredited with being among the ‘most beautiful villages in France’ – Les Plus Beaux Villages de France. Also worth visiting is Sarlat-la-Canéda.
