This traditional, self catering village house is situated in Sorede, France. Sorede is a lovely village at the foot of the Pyrénées mountains offering all amenities including three restaurants, two café/bars and an excellent take away pizza.
The sandy beaches of Argeles, Racou, and Collioure are just 8km away offering a variety of water sports and entertainment. The area is perfect for touring, mountain bike cycling, hiking and enjoying nice walks.
Whilst situated in a quite cul-de-sac, our Sorede holiday rental home is in very close proximity to the main square of Sorede and there are Great views of the Alberes Mountains from all three bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
Accommodation: Ground floor: Open plan living area, fully fitted kitchen, gas hob, electric oven, dish washer, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer and a new (2024) smart flat screen TV.

Stairs to First floor: Spacious landing leading to tiled bathroom/shower number 1, 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedrooms.
Stairs to second floor: Another spacious landing leading to 2nd tiled bathroom/shower. Both bathrooms consisting of a toilet, hand basin, bathroom cabinet, towel rail and bathroom hooks leading to a spacious double bedroom. This double bedroom has a useful Velux ceiling/roof window for extra light and increased air flow. Being a larger than average sized double there is therefore room here for an extra bed or cot.

We both love all things out doors and are keen mountain bike cyclists. The mountains were our main attraction to this property, closely followed by the heat, sunshine, beaches, fine foods and the very warm welcome and willing to engage, local villagers. Plus fine ski resorts in the winter just 2 hours away.
The house is in a quiet cul-de-sac with no through traffic, yet just 100m to the right, up a flight of steps is the main square. Here there are 3 restaurants, a pizza takeaway, a greengrocers, hairdressers, butchers an excellent cycle hire shop including electric, tandem and various childrens carriages and cycles. All the restaurants offer outside tables, the main one is open all day with typical coffee and refreshments.
Whereas,100m to the left of the house takes you to another popular bar/cafe, looking on to charming treelined carpark which hosts a market every Friday morning and music events during the summer.
Further on are two fabulous bakeries, a licensed convenience store and a newsagent/tobacconist.
Just a short walk, cutting through residential houses, is a large play park and recreational area for children of all ages, a pharmacy offering various wellness services, a post office, ATM cash machine, Mayors/Council offices, a tourist information centre and a small but regularliy attended police premises.
